Chapter 22 - Payroll Setup

Starting Balances Icon

  • This option is available to establish year to date figures for each deduction category when starting payroll after the beginning of the year
  • Click on Starting Balances Icon to enter beginning balance figures for the following EarnDed IDs:
    • Regular Pay:                REGPAY
    • Federal Withholding:   FEDTAX
    • Social Security:           SSTAX
    • Medicare:                    MCTAX
    • State Withholding:      Applicable state Tax ID (e.g., MITAX (Michigan Tax)Select appropriate employee record
  • Select appropriate  EarnDed ID
  • Enter date of last payroll
  • Enter year to date balance for the EarnDed ID
  • Assign any unique EarnDed ID’s created and enter appropriate balance
  • Click X in upper right corner to close and save data when finished
